Local Community Builder

Australia - Remote

Job description

TAUS operates in the language data space offering the largest industry-shared repository of data, deep know-how in language engineering and a network of contributors around the globe. Our mission is to empower global enterprises and their service and technology providers with data solutions that help them to communicate in all languages, faster, better and more efficiently.

To this purpose, we have launched the Human Language Project (HLP), a crowd-based data services platform. HLP engages local communities of native speakers around the world to build and curate language data sets on our dedicated online platform.

The role:

We are launching a Speech Data Collection project in Australia, and we need a local recruiter to build a community of Australian English speakers to join our project.

The speaker's community needs to equally cover different demographic groups.

A TAUS Local Community Builder is an independent contractor, our cooperation will be regulated by a project-based agreement.

Main tasks:

  • Recruit the necessary speakers based on the required demographic attributes.

  • Bring your own unique ideas on improving and managing our communities based on your knowledge of the culture and the locals.

Requirements:

  • Experience with building community or community management.

  • Good coordination skills (time management, flexible attitude).

  • Fluency in the English language (written and spoken).

  • Creative mindset.

  • Knowledge of the area and the local culture.

  • Available for a period of a minimum of 3 weeks, depending on the recruitment speed.
